We are regularly instructed to update tenancy documentation to reflect the statutory framework and have drafted many precedent acquisition and disposal contracts for managed houses which deal with licensing issues.

Hospitality Law Licensing

The key figures in our Licensing team are Lisa Gilligan, Malcolm Radcliffe and Simon Taylor.   They are all experienced licensing specialists, recognised as Leaders in their Field, by Chambers Legal Directory.

Our team deals with the full spectrum of licensing applications for pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, hotels and late night venues.

Personal Licences – being BIIAB accredited, we are able to offer a  complete training package. We can provide bespoke training for the APLH at any of our nine offices nationwide or client locations. We also complete/check all of the appropriate application forms on the training day to submit Personal Licence Applications.

Premises Licences – we are able to provide a bespoke extranet service providing access to all relevant licensing information.  This can be tailored to your specific needs providing up to date details and information which is assessable 24:7.

We also deal with Premises Licence Reviews and other contested applications.

Our team operate nationally throughout England,Wales and Scotland, regularly appearing before Licensing Committees and Magistrates Courts.  We have not only the capacity but also specialism to advise you in all types of licensing work. This includes  large festival organisers such as Lovebox, High Voltage,Reading, The Big Chill and Creamfields.  We also advised on all aspects of the legal work involved in the Take That Progress Tour 2011.

Regulatory enforcement is also of increasing importance to our clients. We regularly advise in relation to investigations and PACE interviews on a broad range of regulatory offences including trading standards, health and safety, food safety and fire safety.  We provide representation at PACE interviews at Court hearings, draft statements and deal with negotiations with the Enforcing Authorities.

We also have experience of acting on the “other side of the fence” as we have acted for the Police and Local Authorities in the past.
