Christopher previously trained as a barrister and regularly appears as an advocate in high value multi-day hearings. He is known for devising straightforward approaches for dealing with complex and publicity sensitive matters, including for national hospitality operators such as Charles Wells and iNTERTAIN. As a specialist employment adviser within our Drinks, Hospitality and Leisure team, he frequently advises on the TUPE implications of transactions involving pubs/bars, restaurants and hotels and large scale collection consultation exercises for both TUPE and redundancy to businesses operating in the hospitality sector.

- Successfully defended a multinational group against a claim for unfair dismissal brought by employees including conducting the advocacy at hearings.
- Successfully defended claims brought by employees against a large corporate employer, including claims of unfair dismissal and discrimination, including conducting the advocacy at multi-day hearings.
- Conducting large-scale collective consultation exercises with trade union involvement, such as TUPE and redundancy.
